1090 ADS-B Receiver

Target: 
Develop a 1090 ADS-B receiver running on an FPGA. It should be able to work in a high interference environment.
Solution: 
The FPGA was receiving the envelope of the signal after a 50MHz ADC .Algorithms developed used intensive parallel computing. On every new sample the complete signal was analyzed again, looking for the special characteristics. Also reconstruction algorithms and statistic bit decoders where used.

The customer was in a different country, so an arbitrary waveform generator was used to simulate a real environment for development.
Code was added to the main design to record signals that were not decoded.
This way those difficult signals where sent to our office and analyzed to detect the problems and improve the algorithms.
